Cecil Con, a family-friendly fantasy, sci-fi, anime and gaming convention at Cecil College in North East, MD, was seeking new branding for the 2018 season. 2018 was their 5th Anniversary, so it had to feel magical and celebratory while featuring their mascot, the Cecil Seahawk. The staff really enjoyed a sketch of the Seahawk in front of a large cake featuring tiny version of himself as the topper, so I pulled the sketch into Adobe Illustrator to make a vector illustration. Knowing that they would be using the artwork for everything from pamphlets to large format banners, it had to be vector so the quality could be guaranteed. The sparklers are my personal favorite!
